Im not a vegan but man was this food amazing. I got the BLT special which tasted fantastic. My wife got the Tom Kar Soup with coconut and noodles..equally amazing. We started with shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. Loved every bite of everything. Our server Jojo was so friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. You can tell how thoughtful they are about their ingredients. Many of them are non-GMO and they even filter their table water. Gonna cut back on meat from the other side of the Glen and eat here more often. Next time I’ll get the Noble double burger.

This menu gave me high hopes and has a lot of promise. The issue is that the dining experience and the flavor of the food doesn’t deliver. I make vegan food all of the time and I expect there to be a level of flavor that shines through in an effort to mask that it’s made without dairy products or meat. It’s also quite simple with a mostly East Asian menu given that a majority of those dishes are vegan by default. Still, the food wasn’t great. The crab Rangoon tasted bland, the bibimbap was incredibly under-seasoned and the Kung Pao Ding was just one note across the entire dish. Couple that with slow service from an understaffed team and the experience was exactly average. Given my experience, I was surprised at how highly rated this restaurant is amongst other diners. May be worth giving it another chance… but it won’t be soon.

Had an amazing experience at Alice and Friends. Our server, JoJo, was amazing. The food was phenomenal, my non-vegan husband loved his dish. Do not miss out on this gem!

My absolute most favorite vegan food in Chicago. I always go to the Edgewater branch because it’s nearer my home but we were biking around the area and found their Glen branch. Consistently amazing food quality and service was outstanding. Our server Zol was so friendly and polite. Glad we dropped by this branch! We had the Egg Foo Young (limited availability), Kingwich, Popcorn Nuggets, Musubi, and cakes for dessert.

finally got around to visiting alice & friends! it was always so far out of my way, but i was in the area and had dinner here with a friend. right away, the restaurant was very warm and homey. we were quickly sat and got to ordering. our waiter was very helpful when it came to different menu options and recommendations, so we were able to order pretty quickly! for an appetizer, we got the steamed dumplings, and for entrees, we got the chow mein and spammi sandwich. the portions were great, and the food was all delicious! i really liked the slaw that came with the spammi sandwich. overall a great experience! i would definitely recommend this restaurant.
